During the project you will need some way of measuring the impact the project is having on your setting and your children. During the project we used both standardised and non standardised measures. These were:
- The Renfrew Picture Test (standardised)
- Raw Base-Line Prime Data (usual measures used at each setting)
- Case Studies (whereby one particular aspect of the project was discussed and the impact was noted).
These measures gave a good deal of data which was easily collected and collated. More information on each can be found on their related tabs.
Another tool that is very useful to measure children’s reading is the Reading Agency’s “Reading Outcomes Framework Toolkit”, a link to which can be found here.
